Triumph Electric Electric Problems Triumph Speed Triple?

Electric problems Triumph Speed Triple? - triumph electric

I bought a 2003 Triumph Speed Triple, with low mileage. He defended a couple of years, and the battery was charged 24 hours prior to collection. Stroke begins within 5 meters. If you are the ignition all the lights, turn signals, etc., but when I press the Start button is all that I get a click on a spool and nothing else. Am I wrong to think that the battery may be to blame .... I am not good at diagnosing current. Thank you.

Hello: If you are the starter solenoid in a position probably as bad or owner is killed.

A click on the starter solenoid is dirty a weak battery, loose / battery connections, or engine damage.
Since the engine is running, you can include damage to the engine.

Check the battery connections --
Clean the battery cables to clean with a wire brush and contacts - even if the (-) cable connects the engine / chassis and the poles of the battery.
Tighten the cable connections with a key, no screwdriver - screwdrivers think not very close.

A battery is not maintained properly, lose the power to function.
You can have enough energy to have the fire after a charge light, but not enough cranking amps to the starter and motor.

The chances are good that the battery needs replacing.

It's either the battery or the starter. I would say that after 5 years with a constant load, mass fires, and the previous owner lucky that he did not explode and ruin the bike. Be the first battery, and replaces try anyway.
